I have one and used it during a defensive training class where I shot nearly 200 rounds...my shoulder didn't hurt a bit (I'm sure the proper hold/training helped too) but for under $40 I would certainly reccomend one!

I removed the stock recoil pad and used a slip over limbsaver it wasnt that much of a difference in length (Im a bigger guy though)

im 5"10 200 lbs. and I love my limbsavers. I use them on both shotguns and my 308 Saiga. It is important to remove to stock one so LOP stays similar. taking a class is the best way to learn. Congrats on your new gun

Limbsaver is a great addition to a shotgun.

dude its like 20 bucks, why not buy one and slip it on. at worst you can return it to walmart if you dont like it. P.s. your big enuf so that its not gonna make a difference. if you were like 5"4' then perhpas you got a problem but your 5"8'

they don't look so bad... and they work.. They do make a 'direct fit' for most models that look more 'factory' than the slip on pads..

I have both Limbsavers, the one the replaces the stock recoil pad & the slip on pad. Both work great, the replacement won't add any length as your stock is cut to except the new one. Buy the slip on & try it out.
