    Q about semi auto shotgun

just to clarify so i don't get arrested and have to join a gang in prison.

is it illegal to have a semi auto shotgun that has a pistol grip, no folding/telescoping stock. but want to add a vertical grip.

i found this (but just want to make sure) thanks folks for the feedback!

12276.1 (a) Notwithstanding Section 12276, "assault weapon" shall
also mean any of the following:

    (6) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:

    (A) A folding or telescoping stock.
    (B) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action
of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip.

It has to have both to be illegal. Pistol grip without a folding or telescoping stock is legal. Yes you can add a vertical or angled forward grip. If you like the look of the telescoping stock I believe it is legal to have it permanently pinned in the position that is comfortable for you. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

It is legal to have a semi-auto shotgun with a pistol grip and a vertical forward grip, as long as the shotgun does not have a folding/extending stock.
