Thoughts on a S12 Conversion?

So...I know. It's kind of yet another "Which should I get?!!?!", but what I'm specifically asking is for people with more S12 experience than I for any observations/comments/etc that I wouldn't know.

Basically, I'm converting and have two very different options. I'm picking up a CSS conversion kit either way (with SAW grip). Option 1 is the Tapco AK full stock and Intrafuse tri rail forearm, Option 2 is an Ace 7.5 stock and Chaos Tri Rail (top rail and HK sights to follow when I have more $$$).

Any thoughts? I'm hesitant to go the full Mall Ninja, esp. as I won't have $$$ for an optic/light for a while. Anyone have experience with these setups?

The Chaos rail is way heavy, it'll help with recoil but it weighs a ton. It's better then the Tapco rail, IMO that's cheap plastic crap and should only be used as compliance items. I mainly use AK builder parts for my builds as a standard unless the customer requests something else. I think I have used the CSS stuff, IIRC that's the thick billet aluminum trigger guard.

This is a Saiga 12 I did while I was building for PRK Arms, real Russian wood and to say it's stunning is really short changing the quality.


This is my Saiga 12, IMO this is a perfect balance of rail. It's not too heavy, has enough room for my light and I added a Magpul rail and AFG for better ergos. I refinished her yesterday.

Is that the laminated 3 piece plywood set from rusmilitary in dark oak? The one that is ALWAYS out of stock? I don't normally like the wood pistol grips that come in the wood sets but I like everything about this one. Really nice.
