    1950s Remington 870 compatibility...

I have an inbound Remington 870 made in the late 1950s. Anyone know how compatible early 870s are with modern parts and accessories?

The 870 made in 1950 is the same one made today. Any accessory that fits a new one fits yours. The modern ones have a couple changes that have nothing to do with any accissories you might add, however, if you try to add a Remington tube extension to a pre 1990 barrel a modern barrel bracket will not work as the stand off distance has changed. But there is a barrel brack from Remington that works so even that can be done. Other then that everything else fits.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.
