    Knoxx Sidewinder for Mossberg 500

I recently found a guy selling these still brand new in the plastic packaging. I have read a lot about them online and most of what I read is really good. It seemed the people who complained about them did not install them right. Once they tweaked the kit a bit they worked fine.

Does anyone here have experience with these good or bad?

Anyone have any tips on installing one?

    Thanks

I did a Google for it and found a user here that was selling one. Found a few other people as well in various places but anything more than a few days old and they were already sold.

It seems the kits go pretty quickly but already attached to a weapon they seem to not sell as well.

The Sidewinder is a novelty at best... In any real situation that you need to grab your Shotgun, you'd be better off with an 870 or 500...
If mag fed Shotgun is what you really want, get a Saiga or a Valtro if you can find one(another factory made mag fed Pump). The saiga alone with a couple of mags will be cheaper then the Sidewinder kit, mags, and 500...

But as far as range toys go I love my Sidewinder. It's a fun shooter, but heavy as heck.
The 6 round box mags insert easier then the 10 round, but neither insert as easy as and AR, AK, or Saiga
Plus the mags are super rare to find and when you do they cost more then they should

The kit alone weighs more then the 500 and the fore grip is farther forward to allow for the Magwell, so shooting for long periods of time can be tiresome
I added a Mesa Tactical high tube AR stock adaptor to mine to help balance the weight out, plus I needed the high tube mount so I could add the full length rail to it... you Know to go full mallninja and all LOL

I wouldn't sell my Sidewinder just because I love to shoot it and they are so hard to find, but in an emergency I have 4 better, more practical, shotguns I would grab.

If you got your for a good price with a couple of mags... good job
Well good job for just finding one, but I hope you at least have a second shotgun to leave normal... choose Practicool over Tacticool

            Just my 2 cents
            and we need pictures

I have to admit I do like how smooth my Mossberg 500 is right now and I am hesitant to modify it. I may just buy another 500 and mount the kit to that.
