Aippi, I called them with intentions to pay for it. Wasn't expecting any handouts. Not sure if that's what your trying to get at but I wanted to clarify and also edited my post cause I can see where some may call trying to get the same thing. I don't want Rem getting inundated with requests. Was mighty cool though.

You got lucky because as you were told, your model does not come with that. For him to send you a new part for no charge when your "Budget Model" is less expensive because it does not come with that part was a coup for you. The bracket on your Big 5 model cost $21 on the Remington parts list and the one he is sending you cost $34.

He may have caused more issues then he resolved. No others who have that model will call in expecting a free $34 part that does not come on their weapon and they will be upset if they don't get it, nor should they get it. Big five orders that model built for them and it is not a regular Remington Model. They cut the cost with that barrel bracket and the forend but other then that it is a Remington 25077 model. So Remington is going to give free parts to bring the Big Five model up to the 25077 then call and ask for the SF LE forend and see if they will send you one of those also.
