Thinking of a 887 Nitro Mag Tactical

Just wanted to get thoughts on this. I've seen mixed reviews regarding this weapon and wondered if anyone has any personal knowledge. Thanks in advance.

I'm OK without the aftermarket parts. Looks cool as is. Particularly like the muzzle.

The 887 was a dismal failure as a sporting gun and received horendous reviews. The weapon was a response to the Nova taking a Market share from Remington. So the people at Remington said "Hey, let's put a bunch of Tacti-fool mess on it and the Tactical guys will buy it as they buy anything.

If you are making a purchase based on the looks of a weapon then by all means, purchase what you like. However, I predict this model will not be around long. If you want a weapon that functions when your A2S in on the line get an 870 or Mossberg 500 or 590. It is my professional opinion after reading the reviews of this weapon and putting my hands on one that you would be wasting money getting this mistake.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

          ^ THIS!
Won one of these POS, sold it as soon as I could. It DOES look cool though.
Get the 870 or Mossberg 500/590 instead. There are some tacticool Mossberg 500 variants out there.

Thanks for the intel. There are too many mixed reviews for me. There's good reason why every fighting unit around uses the 870's.................they just work.

They also use the Mossbergs. Both will be then when needed. I am an 870 guy and an870 will last my life time I don't see me using anything else in my "Defense of the Realm"
