    Saiga 12 Anyone Have One?

I tryed to search but could not find much info.

Has anyone got a Saiga 12 yet? I know that a fix mag or bullet button is the only way to go.
They have M-240s here at the gun shops!

Given that kinda situation, such a configuration is pretty useless when compared to a conventional autoloader.

Not necessarily. Were talking about the one and only Kalashnikov action 12 gauge here.

I've tried a few FFLs in my area to transfer even with mag lock and know one will touch it. Let me know who will if you do

        Bill,

I would agree, but some of us live or have cabins close to the boarder .

        BossHogg,

What kind of mag-lock have you come up with?

It is a Dinzag modified AK Mag lock. I keep getting told that the Saiga 12 is on list in CA.

I owned one in Illinois back in 2001 or so. It was a nice conversation piece but nothing much more. It was reliable and the reviews were very positive on its accuracy and ease of use.

I believe there also was a discussion on here recently that if the shotgun was converted to an AK style Pistol grip with no stock then it wouldn't be a shotgun in the eyes of CA but would instead be a title 1 firearm and not subject to any ban. you could even have detachable magazines

but once again, no one wants to transfer them.

I have a S12 sitting in my safe with the magazine latch removed until I make time to design a fixed mag catch.

The different mag locks currently out there for AK's will not fit. The S12 latch assembly is completely different from the other Saiga's.

If anyone has modified there S12 with success please step forward.

I didn't read that he was intending a felony... it seemed to me like he was saying that he keeps it close enough to the border that if he wants to run detachable mags he can just hop in his car and be in a state where he can legally do it in a few min.

Um no, I live close enough that I get out of this state within a hours drive and go shooting out of this state often. not that it is any of your business.

Has anyone tried contacting the guys over there at Tromix? I bet they would modify a bullet button for you and ship to your FFL.

What a hater. Just because you enjoy shooting doesnt make you a felon.
