I was told by the owner of a shooting range that I msut have a gun safe for my Rmeington 870 in my home. I told him I keep a trigger lock on it. The only other firearm in the house, except for an antique percussion rifle that cannot be fired, is a single barrel shotgun.
Everyone residing in the house is over 21 years of age.
I think he is flat wrong about having to have a gun safe. Am I missing something?

guns you will not want them all laying around in individual cases. A safe is a great thing to have. If all you have is a Remington 870 and you do not plan on buying anymore guns I would say you do not need a safe. Lets be honest though who just buys one gun and says thats enough.
