Question about my Mossberg 590A1

I have a stock 590A1 model #52682. Now I thought that that all the 18.5'' 509A1's would take 5 in the tube and 1 in the chamber? Well in my case it is taking 6 in the tube and 1 in the chamber. I have not installed a mag extenuation so did Mossberg do something new? Or am I going to have to start worrying about feeding problems?

Mossbergs do that sometimes. My 500 20 inch is supposed to hold 7+1 but mine will hold 8+1. Take it to the range and see how she runs.

I found it out at the range but hey I'm not complaining its an extra round lol. Just hope it dose not give me problems.

It could be something as little as slight variation / difference in ammo length between batches or the manufacturing thereof but to be 100% sure your not damaging your 590A1 and for your piece of mind you should just call Mossberg if its still under wart. or even if it's not and ask them - be sure to write down the info and name of who you talk to so that way you have a record of the problem if it does bite you in the butt later on they should know and if they don't go to Aim pro and ask them they do all their after market tactical / tech. stuff and under warranty to boot : )

I know when I read a write up on +1 Choate mag extension installation on your 18.5" 590A1 model they were saying if you used the stock factory keeper instead of the one they provided you could squeeze +2 in that bad boy so it's not that far off I'd think ?
