Remington tactical 1100 project

Hello Fellow Calgunners

I'm trying to build remington 1100 Tactical

I got 20 " barrel from another fellow calgunner

Now I need the ghost ring sights.

Tne brownell seling this kit for almost 200 bucks

Stevens shotgun 350 with ghost ring cost 230 + tax at Big 5

Anyone knows how to take out the frount sight and move it to my
Remington 1100 blued barrel ?

If you remove the sight from the 1100 barrel you are going to have refinish the barrel. If you put it on the blued barrel you are going to have to refinish that one. You can have a gun smith do it as it is not a DIY project as putting a torch to those barrels is not a good idea unless you know exactly what you are doing. You then have to have the two barrels refinished. If the 1100 barrel is a bead sight go with the Trijicon GR's. The rear is drilled and tapped on and the front fits over the front base and is epoxied on. You don't have to remove anthing except cut the bead off the front sight. If that barrel has a rifle sight then you can find GR front sights that dove tail into the exsisting base, however you still have to torch off the rear and have the barrel refinished as the torch cooks the finish off. May be another way so someone may post in more information. I don't use GR's and only instal the Trijicons when I can't talk a client out of it so I don't know all the brands out there.

Well.. I was going to paint the barrel with "spray and bake" from brownell
to match the color. the remington barrel is sawed off from 26 " to 20" there is no bead
after, I figure out soldering the front sight on the Remington 1100 barrel.
The issue is taking out the front sight from the stevens 350 and getting it straight positioning and strong soldering on the Remington 1100 barrel which is blued.
I never done this before. I might need professional help on that.
do you know anyone who could do great job for not too much of cost?
or teach me how to do this?
