You should not be blaming the individual companies. The price was raised by the importers and distributors. And ultimately, you can blame the ATF for their survey. The saiga 12's have not been banned yet, but there have also not been any Form 6's approved since then for their import. take that for what it's worth. Even without a full on ban there was a scarcity created and it drove the prices up. Supply is less than the demand. The other rifles are not affected because only the shotguns were included in the survey, Saiga rifles are still being imported in masses.

You can't expect a company to sell an item for lower than what they bought it for. It's not like they are still buying them for under $500 and just marking them up. I'm sure their profit margin is still the same if not smaller. Business is business. Are you going to stop buying gas this summer too?

Of course not; however, I am more compelled,and do, carpool now. I think your missing my point. I agree with you. I am stating that the panic and follow thru is feeding the problem. Further, many companies aren't going to help the situation by turning speculation to fact. Just like gas speculators tell you 'gas will go to 6-7 dollars this summer!' then your set to except it. It goes to 5 bucks and you don't ban together cuz now you think your getting a deal. Ever notice that the gas always somehow is 'supposed' to go up in the summer?? already programmed to accept it. Just sayin anyway, I really would like a saiga 12. I should have bought one last sept. But then I wouldn't have my amd and underfolder.. Oh well if it goes back down I'll get it. If the boogyman takes it away oh well maybe use the $$ to make a sign in dedication to the ATF

Blame the importers taking advantage of the ATF study and soon to be ruling. Our markup has not changed 1% since we were selling them at $480. They have no need to raise our dealer price on the rifles because there is no one panic buying them. I wish I was still getting them in the $400's and selling them for $800, believe me.....but thats definetly not the case. You would laugh if you knew what us dealers make off of firearm sales. If it wasn't for ammo and accessories none of us would be in business.

All these companies are just putting themselves on my do not shop list. Riflegear is ok only because they didn't greed like these other ones. Come On...if saiga was really kicking up the price THAT much... Then it would effect the other calibers too. Yet those are on sale all the time even after new restock. This is just that same pumped up fear like over the ammo. ' oooooo watch out! Obamas after your guns!!!!! ' lol 'he's taking the ammo!!!' oooooo lol
