    New-to-shotgun question

Hello all, i'm looking for an HD and range/fun shotty. i've had an FNH TPS before but it just didn't "feel" right so I traded in for a handgun...should have gone with a shotgun/shotgun trade instead. Here are some things that i learned from the TPS, i prefer wood furniture (for aesthetic reasons as well as increased weight to dampen the kick) more so than the tactical du jour and the top tang safety seem more natural to me personally (a cross bar type would not entire preclude a purchase). So, do Mossy or Remmy still make wood cladded shotties? Also, is the minimum barrel length and OAL for a shotty 16/30 respectively like its carbine counterparts? I'll be searching online as well but would like to see some of your perspectives. Thank you in advance.

Remington 870, either a Wingmaster or a Remington Express with a wood stocks. http://www.remington.com/product-fam...model-870.aspx

There is a guy in the for sale section who has been trying to unload a 12ga wood furniture mossberg 500 for weeks. Price was $200 last I checked. Fits the bill.

I find it funny that the OP says he/she prefers a tang safety and the first response is get an 870.

Mossberg 500 fits the bill. They do exist with wood furniture. Aftermarket wood is available too.
