Where to shoot buck & slugs

What is a good place to go to shoot some different loads of buck shot and slugs. I would call ahead first, but would most rifle ranges let you shoot slugs? The nearest shotgun range to me is Prado in Chino, but it only allows shooting at clay birds with taget loads of shot; trap, five stand, and skeet. I have heard of Burro Canyon and Bee Canyon. Any suggestions?

I go to Burro canyon all the time. They have a section you can shoot your shot gun at. I have tried out some #00 Buck and a box of slugs there and nobody cared. Its a great place to go shooting.

I haven`t been to Bee Canyon but it seems to out by Hemet which is a hell of a drive for me. Hope this helps

+1 for Burro Canyon. Go on the weekdays if you have a chance. Practically no one is there on the weekdays

Angeles Shooting Range has an area on the pistol side for shooting shotgun slugs or buck with frame hangers out to about 30 - 50yds.

You can go indoor at L.A. Gun Club and shoot slugs but you have to buy their ammo. The range is 25ft.

LAX is also the same except their range is 75ft

Well, if your close to Prado then you are close to Raahauges. Just let them know what you want to do and they will set you up. Just don't be an idiot or Hawk will send you home!

Hawk will let you shoot just about anything, but when you do something stupid, he will let you know!

Thanks. I have been by and checked out Raahauges once but not shot there. I will give it a try as it is a lot closer thatn Burro Canyon. Is Hawk the super pumped up young guy or an older guy?
