Having problems loading my Mossberg 930

    Hey guys,

My Mossberg 930 is 2+1 shot. I thought it was weird since the magazine tubing is way longer than 2 shells. Then, I saw a video showing how to remove the duck plug on a shotgun. I took off the cap and then I removed the plug thing and saw that there was a stick inside limiting the amount of shells I can load.

Now that I've taken it out and reassembled everything, I'm having problems loading the magazine through the bottom of the shotgun. I can't slide a shell inside the magazine with ease like before. I have to squeeze it against the walls until it goes into the tube. I only put 2 shells in there cuz I wasn't comfortable putting live rounds in there although the safety was on. But it cycles properly and ejects as it should when I cock it back. Any suggestions as what I messed up?

    Thanks!

Is the magazine spring pushing the follower at an angle instead of being seated flush behind it? That's the only thing I can think of. Take the gun apart, remove the spring and follower, and seat the spring into the "cup" created by the follower. What might help too is to take the wooden dowel that was in there before and push it into the magazine against the follower.

If all else fails, try yelling at it.

Damn I'm hella stupid. The return spring was in the wrong order. Had to look at the owner's manual a few times. Took me 3 hours to figure out!

Only problem is now that when I manually eject the shells it gets jammed, but hopefully after I break it in more it will work better.

I went from 2+1 to 4+1. Maybe I'll add another magazine extension onto it to make it 6+1 or 8+1 or whatever
