I would like to place a flashlight on my Moss 500...

I leave the 18.5' inch barrel installed (ca legal min) & keep it handy for home defense. Would like to add a flashlight for the purpose of assisting in nighttime home defense.

    Any recommendations?

I've been waiting for these to come back as well. For now, I'm using the basic one from Tacstar.

It's worked well enough so far.

I'd highly recommend the Surefire forend lights. 623lmg is pretty nice.

              Fenix TK 11

The Fenix line is great, search around on them a bit, then order one from Amazon or Overstock.

This works well for me. The light is a Fenix. The rail is a five position cheap clamp on. The light mount is offset. It puts the thumb switch in the perfect spot for me.

I have a basic "Coleman" tac light and a basic barrel clamp....works good enough for me.

Get a Surefire forend and be done. They come up used on ARF every now and then.

+1 for the surefire forend. Put one on one of my moss 500's and love it.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're still not out to get me!!!

Why is everybody obsessed with the Surefire forend? Sure it's good, but it's not worth the cost of the shotgun when you can get set up with a 60$ flashlight and a couple of scope rings.

Because it's damn near bullet proof and is designed to withstand the massive recoil of the 12g. I can't tell you how many cheap flashlights and mounts ive seen completely fall off the gun or fail during shotgun courses.
