    Help on a Remington 878

I have a Remington 878 thats dear to my heart. It's in pretty good shape except for the wood on it. The forearm and buttstock have some deep scratches so I can't refinish them. I've looked into just buying some other forearm and buttstock but there hard to find and if you do find them they want an arm and a leg for it. I've tried other forearm from other models like 11-48 and 1100 even 870 but none of them fit. I think the 58 might work but I dont know, any advice I could get would help out. Thanks guys

The 878 was based on the 58, that would be your best bet for an interchange. But....let's see if we can't salvage the original wood, and give the old girl a facelift.
