    Mossberg 930 SPX

Anyway have one of these? I'm looking for a semi auto but I really don't want to pay a grand for it. These are running for about $600. Any feedback would be appreciated

      Review.

Sorry, best I could do. I haven't had a chance to shoot mine yet. The biggest purchase regret for me regarding the 930 SPX is its lack of chokes. Might not be a big deal for you if you don't 3-gun.

The only other issue I have heard about it is it shoots high. Easily fixed with its adjustable sights. Also, if you plan on using Federal PD13200 (I believe that's tight) which is low recoil 00 buckshot, you can't fit in the 7+1 capacity. Those shell run a little long.

Everything else seems OK but I won't know for sure until I get it to the range, hopefully this Saturday.

        Best S/A for the money!

The 930 SPX is a great deal at half the cost of a Benelli M4. I own one and it's everything I hoped it would be. Although it holds one less round than my M1 Super 90 Benelli, the Super 90 is now a safe queen.
The SPX has so many "custom" features that come stock. The fiber optic front sight is adjustable, like an AR.
Mine eats averything I put in it (even Wal-Mart bulk birdshot) and I shoot Fed. LE132 00 buck and I get all 7 in, I don't know where the other poster got the idea you couldn't.
With the $400 plus bucks you save over the M4 you can go to a shooting school and actually learn how to use it properly or to it's fullest potential I should say....

I'll say this, I own one and I've shot m4's.

for the price, brand new, the 930 is a great deal, but again you get what you pay for. The m4 has a slightly more polished feeling, but at double the price.

If you don't have tons of money around, go with the 930.

I initially had problems till I broke mine in. About 200 rounds or so.

          Now it eats anything.

Great thanks for the advice guys, I am going to do some more looking into some different autos, but I defiantly think this is going to be the next one on my list. I just bout a RIA 1911 so I need to get this sucker in first.

Because I also have one and I can't. Others have had the same problem. Maybe Mossberg fixed it but I just bought mine very recently. Did you trim the mag tube spring?
