Don't push your luck. It is true that it is not illegal to get one from someone, or to possess one. The BEST case scenario of "legally" acquiring a hi cap mag in CA(if you are one of the little people), is to find one in CA somewhere. Even then though, LE could still try and pin you with importing/manufacturing. If you want Hi cap mags, go to another state with saner gun laws, buy one, use it in THAT state, then disassemble it to legally bring it back in to CA (and do not reassemble it while in CA)

Sitting here posting your explanations of how you plan to acquire high capacity magazines on a public message board read by law enforcement isn't exactly brilliant either.

You're the one who mentioned it was your friend, not me. If you want to associate with people who knowingly break the law(or are simply that unaware of how to dispose of something), and then post about how you think it's OK if they keep breaking the law until you get what you want, then go for it. If you didn't want anyone reading your post to associate you as being the one who your friend handed the mags to, then why point out that the person was a friend of yours in the first place?

        First off, bagelthief,

Please quote the part of my posts where I say anything remotely close to "Hey Im going to find a way to get a high cap, will this work???" Nope. Not there. SORRY!
        Well when you said
Conspiracy charge huh? Well that sounds unlikely
It kinda sounds like you were gonna chance it

Once you get it through your thick, dense, slow head that I was only asking a question for KNOWLEDGE; then you will see what a nitwit you have been...
        Again,

Clarification - I was under the impression (from CA DOJ summary) that Saiga 12's (shotties) by definition were to be maglocked, and 5 round capacity maximum.

Then we get into the same old - hi-cap debate that is on every other forum.

                Again,
Don't tell me to chill. Your not in my shoes...He was accusing me of doing things I did not do. Why? because I asked a question. He was putting words upon words in my mouth. He was trying to make me look like a criminal.

I do not appreciate that. Would you?

Just like how you are doing now..."well when you said such and such, it SOUNDS LIKE you were going to do this and that..."

Tell you what it SOUNDS LIKE buddy...It sounds like what you say doesn't mean crap. When I actually SAY "screw it, IM GOING TO CHANCE IT ANYWAY!" Then you can call me out. Until then, stick to the facts, don't ASSuME, don't fabricate, don't judge, don't speculate. Don't brain storm aloud.

Or else you just make both of us look like idiots....

                  .
S12's do have to be maglocked, because they are semi auto with "detachable" mag. 5 rds though? I haven't heard of this, I think (not sure) that ten rounds is the maximum for ANY gun (unless you want to get into the single shot exemption thing)

                      Dude, seriously, chill.

You are asking many different scenarios on how to legally acquire hi cap mags, (NOTE: Im not saying you want to) on an internet forum, that can be taken as wanting to.

When you get all defensive it also makes you look like you're not being completely honest. Alls you have to say is "I don't want to acquire a hi cap mag in CA, Im sorry if my earlier post led you to believe otherwise." It's a great way to keep tempers down on I-net forums.

I don't think he was trying to make you look like a criminal either, as a CA gun owner, I know I would not want to try and make other law abiding gun owners look like criminals. I think he was saying "be careful of what you post and how you post it."

Why should I have to be the one to bow down and say sorry? Hes the one whos putting words in my mouth. Hes the one who is accusing me. If he wants to say "be careful of what you say and how you say it," then he can do so without trying to make me look like a hoodlum. If I'm defensive; then its because its warranted. If someone jabs at me, im not one to look the other way. ILL JAB BACK!
