Awhile back when the economy was good, I caught a Big 5 Sale on the Remington 870 Express Defence Shotgun. Pickup one up and been fiddling with and shooting it. Bought it because I have been hunting with an 870 for years so I am very familiar with it. No problems with it so far. Probaby 7 heavy loads and couple hundred cheap bird shot thru it.
First off, that hard plastic stock is brutal with full boat 00 buck and slug round thru it. That got changed to a Knoxx stock. Haven't had a chance to try it yet. Will report.
Replaced the stock magazine spring with a Wilson Spring. That sure made it feed nicer. Shells got presented a lot quicker.
Put an Wilson Combat front sling mounting point on the front. Liked that because it makes the shotgun layflat on my back easier. Thanks for all the ideas in the thread. Keep them coming.
Next mods, front sight, saw a post about a Hi Viz sight. And more practice. Pictures to be posted later.
