    Semi auto shotguns

I have a browning silver stalker and was planning on going tactical. I don't know weather to sell it or just buy another shoty. Now I also don't know what to get so it's either a Remington 11-87 or a mossberg 930 spx. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I had a Mossberg 500 and was going to do the same thing. I ended up buying a saiga 12(best buy ever) and was going to sell my mossberg. Well I couldn't sell the Mossberg. My causin wants it, I just can't do it

can't go wrong with an S12 or a Benelli, those are the 2 semi autos i have personally shot and liked. i own an S12.

I have a 930 and I have to say it's been a great workhorse. It's not the tacitcal SPX version, it's the 930 field gun but it has thousands of shells through it shooting trap and it comes apart real easy (I had a bear of a time taking down my friends Beretta).

It's not as refined as some of the higher end shotguns, but it has never failed to go bang or eject for me. I think the price is right - it won't cycle as fast as a Winchester SX3 but it's half the price.

was going to go mossy 930 for a slub/buck teaching gun...

got talked into a "deal" on a benelli M4....
          no regrets at all.....

it will shoot low recoil buck rem loads in sub 2 in groups at 10 yards... but it won't function the gun with them...

          9pellet loads work really well.....just not 2 in groups...more like 4 in...
have about 15 old #4 buck winchester 3in loads... screamin'... they will keep all the pellets inside about 13 inches at 16.5 yards (the length of my hallway living room) and thats 41 pellets screamin' downrange !
rws KO slugs shoot delightfully at the 50 yard mark but haven't tried them further...

            Chiming in on the S-12

I converted my old mossburg 500 looked like i got in a bar fight after every match. Got the s12 did the conversion myself and a few reliability mods for different loads i.e. cheap crap.. No regrets shoots great and is bad to the bone! Still cheaper than a Benelli not as purdy.

I would go with the Mossberg for a budget shotgun. Lot of accessories coming out for it. M2 Benelli is nice also. So is the FN SLP. Remington 1187 Tactical still has some issues after a lot of use.

I'm still really trying to decide between pump and semi-auto

Might be worth looking at the Stoeger M2000. I have the field/turkey combo for hunting and after 1000s of shells, zero problems. Supposed to have a similar action like a Benelli but I dont have a Benelli so I dont know how close they are. Kinda hard to beat the S12 for a tactical shotty though!

                    S12....

If your going tactical, it does not pay to do it in half measures.
