    Twisterpuc for S12

Hi! Is it worth getting the Etac twisterpuc combo or just the standard one? Any experience?

Depends on what ammo you shoot, and the tolerances of your gun.

I got the three-pack a while back and found my S12 runs best with the "medium" puck.

I shoot a lot of birdshots and some mix of 00 buck and slugs. I might just get the regular to be safe.

I don't see why you would need to replace the Russian puck unless you need a 922R compliance part. The consensus on Saiga 12 forums is that there is no real difference in performance between any of them. Bob Ash, a designer at Tromix also agrees with this idea. Tromix is well know as Saiga 12 masters.

You really need to own all pucks to answer this question accuratly.

if your gun runs fine there is no need to change the puck unless you need to comply with 922r, mine runs great with no modification and shoots whatever i feed it so i had no need to change any internals, i did however send the carrier and bolt out to be polished just to make things run a little smoother.

Yah, you guys are right. I just need it for 922r compliance, since I wanna use my 10 rounder AGP mags. In the meantime, I don't want to spend much money for ompliance parts, if its no use in the future. Maybe you guys have a US made cheap piston laying around that I can buy?

So does the MD Arms V plug count toward 922R compliance?

                yes.

the 10 rd mags count as 3, so if you want to keep the buttstock and hand guard factory the next easiest change is the gas plug. personally if the gun runs good i'd look at changing the forearm to a US made part and keep the internals as is, i believe there is one avalible that looks pretty close to stock i just can't remember off hand who made it.

I ordered a V plug for my untouched S12. I guess I am good to use the 10 rounder...

The Twisterpucs are garbage, the steel is WAY too soft for the application and they tend to mushroom after very little use. We've had a 'warranty' program for those things for quite awhile now and the ones folks are sending in are absolutely mangled.
