Unlikely, the new 870's are known for cycling issues. There are some fixes if you search the forums.

Pretty bummed about cycling issues with a brand new gun. American engineering at it's best I guess.

              Snaps over the barrel. Friction.

Go back and read what aippi posted about your bead being pressed in. I do not know if the snap ons will work unless you first remove the bead. I would also be concerned that a snap on may slide due to the force of the gun blast and may damage the fininsh on the barrel. Ask about it before spending your$$$

After posting the above I read where that sight is snapped on the barrel below the bead and then slid up the bead and a notch fits over the exising bead. I would still be careful. That may work with a simple bead, but I beleive you have what is called a bead on a pedestal. Apparently the phenomenon where anything clamped to a barrel slides as a result of the blast is called walking.

I will look into the sight upgrade. Thanks!
Clean your chamber and barrel like this and you will be stoked. I just did it.

A word about shotshells jambing in the chambers of a new 870 Express. From what I understand, this is not a problem on all Express models but on many, yet the problem usually only presents itself when firing the inexpensive shotshells with steel bases. Even then, those of us that clean the chamber with steel wool as recommended by aippi can shoot anything out of the box. Even if you don't clean you chamber up with steel wool, I understand that the problem goes away as the gun is broken in by running a few boxes of ammo through it.

If you think this is a big deal, think about the owners of many makes of semi shotguns that fail to cycle on many types of ammunition.
