    Barrel play

    Hey guys,
I am usually on the centerfire board here but went to pick up my browning gold the other day outa the safe and the barrel pulled up a little which is not supposed to happen and never has. Any suggestions on what it might be? i have broken it down to see if I am missing something obvious but can not tell. So basically I am stumped..
    Any thoughts?

Hey, not exactly sure about "gold", but any (unusual) play would be an undesirable condition, I wouldn't fire it until you find the problem.

I had that once at the range, loose barrel on the Rem 870. It was the cap screw got loose. Good Luck.

The browning A-5 series has a telescoping feature that on recoil, the barrel retracts into the receiver. I am not familiar with the gold series but that could explain it if that is the case too.
