    KELTEC KSG group buy anyone?

Would any one be interested? Not sure how to go about setting it up, but if someone wanted to start one or help me start one...GAME ON.

group buys often blow up. doing a group buy for an item that isn't even out yet is probably not a good idea. too many potential landmines in there. What if Keltec is delayed for a long time, what if CADOJ tries to claim that it is a large-cap mag, what if the mods that Keltec has said that they will be doing make it so that people don't want the delivered product, etc.

Basically, it is hard enough to do a group buy for something that will be here is a month. this is something that has only been seen in prototype form and is probably 6+ months out.

No way in hell would I get into a group buy for a gun that isn't going to be available for months and may have issues impeding it's availability. I got myself on a list to buy one as soon as a local shop gets 'em, I'm not going to rely on handing some stranger my cash with a boatload of other people, to save a couple bucks.

More like 26 months out. If anyone sees this thing inside of a year then I'll swear off shooting forever. But hey what the hell...put me down for one.

Good thing I'll have plenty of time to save up....

And some of us have pointed out our lack of interest.

Considering the msrp is 880, turners is already taking deposits with a final price of 720, I doubt there is much to be had in the way of additional discounts for a group purchase(when you tack transfer fees onto it).

Thinking about jumping in on the Turner's deal. Seems like a good price
($720) and a $244 deposit guarantees you one of the 200 units Kel-Tec committed to sending them upon release late this year. According to the Chino Hills Turners, 50+ people have reserved one company wide as of today.

Just make sure it (the group buy) goes better than mif slim's plum crazy lowers @ PRK Arms. Lots of drama over a mis-managed group buy...

Figured this would be for ksg talk anyway.
Did forum searching for dual mags.
questions if two non permanently coupled magazines(taped), can go into an ar15 with bullet buttons or whatever magazine locking devices you choose.

Somebody said that two magazines fixed together requiring tools is permanent. Is that to say it is now one feeding device? although two feeding ports, 2 springs 2 followers.

Or they said if the 2 10 rounders were permanently attached together it is considered "any feeding device" and does indeed accept 20 rounds.

Made me worry about the ksg. although they are 2 separate magazines, they are permanently attached to each other. Is this correct? And is now "any feeding device" and now accepting 14 rounds?

I would be in for one if it would bring the price below that MSRP haha.

But I can't make any commitments right now since who knows what the KSG's status is in CA yet.

Ive seen them as low as $615 for pre-order, so theres definitely some play in that pricing. LINK

I never said there wasn't play in the pricing, still not interested in a group order. It's also $673, not $615 now. Tack on a $50 transfer fee from your local FFL and now you're over $700 again. Still not interested in a group buy.

I don't know what the courts will rule, but fully expect the DOJ to treaty this as an illegal weapon based ono what I know, which is that it is designed to function with both magazines working in unison so as to enable the shooter to switch back and forth from one to another. Since they are intended to function together, the two might be treated as a single magazine system (ammunition feeding device) I also believe, but may be wrong, that the weapon may be used with one of the two magazines removed. If true that would tend to support an argument to the effect that they are two separate magazines. Another possibility is, if the gun is illegal as is, what if they are imported with a plugs inserted to limit the number of shotshells the weapon may hold, as is done to comply with migratory bird hunting laws limiting to 3 shells.

i agree with most of your folks, wouldn't want to go into a group buy for a gun that hasn't even come out yet!
