    Contender .410 question

I have T-C G2 Contender Carbine with multiple barrels in .22LR, .22 WRM, .25-35, and a .410 shotgun barrel. The .410 barrel fits and functions fine, but has a very full choke tube.

I'd like to try a more open choke on this as well but don't know who made the choke tube. T-C customer service will sell me another full choke tube but either doesn't know or won't tell me who the OEM was so I can order a skeet or imp. cyl. tube. Anybody know?

I can of course just get another full choke tube and have it reamed out to skeet, but would like to avoid this extra step/cost.

BTW, this is a full rifle-stocked gun with a 23" barrel, so please don't advise me that it's not legal in CA. It is, even DOJ agrees. The choke tube is internal like on many modern shotguns, not a screw-on external choke like some of the .45/.410 pistol versions that DOJ has problems with...

    Any help/advice gratefully accepted!

Sorry, I don't know where to get new chokes. But, I wanted to let you know that Ca has a problem with ,18" barrels chambered in .410 with internal chokes. I've never seen the external chokes you're talking about but, I've seen plenty of 10"-14" .410 barrels with internal chokes and rifled barrels.

Cannoneer, T-C never made .410s with 18" barrels; all the factory barrels made for CARBINES are either 21" (G1) or 23" (G2). Mine is the latter. I talked directly to DOJ about it before I bought it. There may be 18 inchers made by other manufacturers aftermarket; you can order just about anything for a Contender!

The external chokes are on the first G1 .45/.410 PISTOLS; they went to internal chokes later, and I assume that those internal tubes are identical to mine.

KMCA, Thanks. I'll try Briley because they may know what I'm asking. But the T-C tube I have isn't Briley, or at least it isn't like the Briley tubes I've examined.
