Winchester mod 12 bead mounting style?

Anybody know how I can tell if a Winchester model 12 has a screw or press fit bead? I know they used both mounting styles.

    Many thanks for the help.

Brass beads are typically threaded and have an oversized shank for a tight fit which make them a b*tch to get out if you dont have the proper tools.

Ivory beads are usually pressed in.

Thanks. Any generalizations to make about little nickle beads?
