Now after putting 100 rounds throught my new Express I have one, perhaps two, issues with the gun.
The definite problem is with the magazine feed. On two occasions a shell jambed in part way into the magazine as I was loading. Each time I released the factory installed 2 shot extension in order to relase the tension on the stuck shell.
The second time, I unscrewed the extension tube from the collar that trheads onto the magazine tube and it looks ever so slightly out of round at the edge. Thre follower spring looks fine to my untrained eye. I can fill a little edge on the rim of the extension tube with my finger.
A couple of times when I couldn't get more the fifth or 6th round into the magazine, but I hadn't managed to jam the last shell in the gun, I found that by unloading the weapon I was then able to load all 6 in the mag.
What is the fix for this, other than sending the weapon to Remington and waiting god how knows long for it to be returned? My guess is the follower is hanging on the little edge I am feeling.
Should I stone it or call Remington and ask them to send me a new tube? Is part of the problem the stock orange plastic follower because the lip is miniscule?
If it makes any difference, whenever I have been able to shoot to date it is only with one shell loaded for Trap and I only load that through the ejection port.
Hopefully AIPPI will see this, because it is likely the problem is something I haven't even thought of.
