    Sling mount options for 870

    Hello,

What are the best options for slings for 870?

Single or Double? If i use a double what's the best front mount?

    Thanks!

I never really like single-point for my SG... it was awkward for me for some of my drills. I used standard 2-point system, with a sling-plate at the rear of the receiver and at the tube-nut. Several different manufactures does the plate... check:

ordered a GG&G rear receiver sling plate to match the front GG&G I got locally... took then 4 weeks to even call me to find out if I still wanted it.

      don't buy direct from GG&G

Highly recommend the Giles sling! It can be ordered with or without attachments, whatever you require.

The factory mag extension that came on my 870 has a barrel clamp with a pivoting stud that accepts a sling clip.

the factory mag extension is removable - the nut that you remove to take off the barrel is where the sling mount goes.
                It's where mine is.
