Mossberg 590 sling stud question.

Hello to all ,

I recently bought a mossberg 590. After giving it some thought i have desided to add a sling to my gun. The other day i went to buy a swivel kit. When i went to put it on i noticed that if i added a sling it would interfear with the bayonet lug. I do plan on adding a bayonet to my 590.

After looking for other places to attach the sling to i noticed a threaded hole in the back of the bayo lug.

And after doing some searching on google i noticed there is a sling stud that will screw in alowing for the placement of a swivel.

After searching this forums and other sites i can't seem to find the stud. I did call mossberg and all the info they gave me was the thread size. 10/32 or 34 can't remember.

Can any1 here point me in the right direction? A link of a product or site would be great. If your having trouble picturing what im talking about i have added a pic. Sorry for the low quailty i just took a quick shot and my digi cam sucks.

Try part #41. Brownell's didn't specifically have a Mossberg 590 schematic, but the parts detail says the quick detach sling stud is also made for the 590.

Today, Mossberg, itself, appears to be out-of-stock for that part.

Yous should have got the sling screw with the gun when you bought it....I got one with my 590a1 in a little manilla envelope

Hmmm when i went to get my gun i seen the guy fumbling with the box. Maybe he droped it. Man i got all the luck in the world.
