Is it possible to install both sling attachment and side saddle?

I was looking at the mesa tactical website, and it seems that if the pin is long enough that I would be able to attach the sling hook on top of the side saddle. It is not clear though from the website whether I would be able to do that.

Has anyone done this with success?

Yes, I do it often. I use the screw that comes with the sling attachment as it is a tad longer then the rear screw for the shell holder. I have built dozens of 870 using these sling attachments like this and not a single issue. If you go to my web site you will see one done this way on the 11-87 and others.
