870 Sport or LE forend?

I bought a new Remington 870 Express that was supposed to come with what I call the Synthetic Sport forend, but it came with the LE (Law Enforcement) forend. Should I decide to later replace the LE with the Sportman forend, am I going to have a problem? Do I have to replace anything more than the forend? Do I still use the same rails?

Rails? If you mean action bars then that has nothing to do with the forend. The forend fits over the forend tube assembly and is held in place by the forend tube nut. You remove the nut and the forend slips off and you put the one you want on there.

The Speedfeed LE is the best forend for an 870 in my book. The Sport forend will come back over the receiver and can rub the finish off if not perfectly centered. No sure what the intened use of your 870 is but if it is for fighting, keep the LE forend.

Hot damn. Looks like I fell into a good deal at the Big 5. I didn't originally want the LE forend, and yes the one depicted by rojocorsa is what the seven shot I bought comes with, and I am the kind of guy that woujd be bugged if the forend rubbed against the receiver and wore the finish off. I think I will stay with the LE forend but if needed it is nice to know it so easily changed. Yes, aippi, by rails I meant action bars.
