saiga 12 conversion... what mag lock fits

Hi All, I am waiting for my 12 to arrive and want to do THE conversion . I have found a lot of info from here and the saiga 12 forumn but not really much in regards to what mag lock "bullet button etc," works well with what trigger guard.
Initially i'm not planning on any adding a magwell and would really like some combination that is a simple install.
So if you could list your " combos" and thoughts, I would appreciate it and i'm sure it will help others to.

If you have a Saiga-12 in California I thought you needed to have the mag lock installed even if it hasn't been converted yet. Are you sure that one isn't already included with the S-12 you ordered?

After the conversion the stock mag lock wont work.

thanks for the suggestion Z , if i'm undestanding correctly i have to drill 2 more holes in the receiver and which may require buying a template for accurate placement ..
I really would prefer a simpler and less expensive option . If that option is not reliable ....... Someone has to have a simple workable combo?

here is what mine looks like now after some cutting on the one it came with



Here is what it started off as. int this picture you can also see the make i made at the back of the mag welll on where to angle up to the cut. You also have to put a small half moon shaped circle on the back half of the lock to clear the foward trigger gaurd hole. this works well and better than the stock since it is closer now.

It depends on what kinda trigger guard you end up using. If you use the regular style trigger guards there are several options out here such as the PRK one, if you have the tromix style (I have one) there are fewer choices. I just used a Horn's mag lock. Kinda looks like a raddlock type of deal.

mike22c.. what are some of the regular trigger guards? what other locks will work with the tromix ? Looking for the simple install , thanks guys.

Except that lock will bend out of the way effortlessly. YMMV

it will bend no more than it did in the first place. just a little bit. i use a 762 bullet to operate the mag release and have no problems with it bending
