    ranges around the Sac area?

    Hi all,

Does anyone know any rage in the Sacramento area that will let me shoot a shotgun at a regular rifle/pistol range? My local range only allows slugs at the regular range and I really want to run some buckshot and birdshot through my 870. I dont want to shoot clays as it is a HD/tactical (18inch) 870

Check with Sac Valley Shooting Center. They may be able to help you out.

The Gun Room lets you shoot whatever you want in a shotgun.

lincoln may let you shoot it on the pistol side. I have seen people shooting shotguns on that side of the range before. I'm just not sure if they were shooting slugs, buckshot, or birdshot.

Go to http://www.dfg.ca.gov/lands/wa/region2/spenceville.html its free but its a drive from sac. Be sure to pick up after shooting there.

Sac Valley should be able to hook you up. They just set up a metal target frame between the public rifle and pistol stations.

Cordova Shooting Center allows regular clay shooting (with birdshot) and I believe that they allow buckshot/slugs at the rifle/pistol range.

                  ya what he said.
The last time I was in there someone was shooting a 12 and 20 with bird shot at silhouettes.

i would recommend the sac valley shooting center i shoot slugs there whenever i want to bruise my shoulder
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

Honsetly, I would recommend going to Eldorado national forest with like 10 empty milk jugs, throwing them out to like 15 yards and practice with birdshot. That is how I broke in and pump and got some practice with it
