    Can my shotgun shoot this?

    I bought this shotgun here:

And I ordered some buckshot. When I ordered it, I don't remember it saying magnum, but when I received it today from cabelas, it says this on the shell: 00 Buck 3in MAG.

Can I shoot this out of my shotgun with no issues?

As long as it says on the barrel that it's chambered for 3" rounds you'll be fine. The Big 5 ad doesn't say but it seems most modern guns are chambered in 3 or 3.5".

Does it come with a manual? I would check that first

2 3/4in is "normal" 12GA size, so 3in is "magnum". So if your barrel says 3in or 3 1/2 you are good to go. If it says 2 3/4 and nothing else - wrong ammo. Go by what is stamped on the barrel, not the manual, which could be generic for several guns, the wrong manual, etc. What is stamped the barrel will be correct if it is a Remington barrel.

All new 870's are 3" receivers except the Super Magun which is 3.5" receiver. Yours is an 870 Express and every Express ever made was made on a 3" receiver and still is so go have a blast (pun intended) as all Express models shoot 3" magnums, but after a few rounds you will not want 3" magnums for HD. You will see why. Enjoy.
