    870 express problems?

I was looking into buying an 870 express at bass pro for $309 but i have heard a lot about cycling problems and i wanted to know whether that exists only in certain variations or is it with everything. thanks

It pretty much is common with the new ones but is a simple fix and should not deter you from buying 1 as they are a great platform.

Mine goes pow every time I've pulled the trigger can't say the same for the benelli nova I used to own. I'm very content.
My only complaint is the finish on the reciever but thats asthetic, and the bead isn't brass.
I havn't modified it at all per some of the threads and I noticed after a few rounds it is hard to cycle sometimes. I plan to just keep shooting it and maybe it will wear in after a few hundred more rounds.

Use the Search function and look for posts by 'aippi', he's a Certified Remington 870 Armorer. He's posted the cure several times, it's an easy fix.

Mine worked right out of the box. I read where some folks have had problems with the cheaper ammo, winchester from Walmart. If you get it, buy different ammo and test drive it. Mine eats anything.

Ive had problems with ammo with a small lip on the shell no ejecting. Nothing major but still has cost me. A buddy has a nova and we shoot all the time and have never seen one problem with that thing smooth as butter. MY two cents

just bought one and put like 100 rounds of winchester birdshot through it. not a single hitch with it. didn't clean it, just took it out of the box and shot away. shoulder is super sore though. i'm a pump shotgun newb, but i've shot semi autos before. didn't expect that at all to be honest. go get one!
