    Mossberg 930 spx owners?

    Hello,

I just purchased a new Mossberg 930 spx. I noticed that the forearm is a bit loose specifically towards the rear end. Normal?

    First shotgun ever.

    Thanks

This is, unfortunately, normal. Tighten the magazine tube as tight as you can, that'll usually kill most of the play.

Yes, this is a normal QC issue from the factory. Like Victor said, tighten up the magazine tube will solve this issue. Or you could buy this replacement forearm from Aimpro tactical that will not only solve the issue but give you some mounting issues for a weapon light.

Yea thats normal, but i bought a barrel clamp from local gun store then added a flashlight mount and now it does move or unscrew after many rounds of buck shot, slug, or 200 rds of trap shooting. Hope that helps.

OP: push the foregrip as far as you can towards the receiver, as you tighten the mag extention. This may get rid of the play. Thats what I did to my 930spx, and it seems to get rid of the wiggle.

would you have any pics of this rail on your spx?

also, just picked up a 930 myself and noticed the same thing with mine...it has a little bit of play but not that big of a deal really.

                  From WEVO (m24shooter's)

The 930 SPX is loaded with features that attracted me to it, and the price was a bargain compared to what a comparable package would cost from Remington or Benelli, which are the other two tactical shotguns that I have experience with and was considering for a semiauto shotgun purchase. The Mossberg 930 SPX is a 12 gauge semiautomatic gas-operated shotgun. There are two gas ports that drive a piston that surrounds the magazine tube beneath the barrel. This moves a pusher with two short
