yes, there was a big to-do about this light. are they on sale again? would really like some more details about them, like what kind of runtime to expect, batteries, etc. price is really good though. -
$30 for a 120 lumen light? that's a killer deal if it'll handle a shotgun.you don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.Comment

any advertisement I see for a weapon light that shows it being used on an airsoft toy does not get any attention from me.you don't rise to the occasion,

Someone got one a while back on sale I think for same price. I think it was crap but not sure so figured I'd hollar. It might have been the 1911 forums /shrug. To be honest I tend to be a get what you pay for type guy so....Chances are anything under 100 bucks for clamps and lights and pressure switches ..well ya know where I' am going huh lol. I might go check it out just to see what it looks like in person though. To be honest for a HD gun that's probably never gonna leave the close might be not a bad deal.
Heiko .. no I have no info on that. Did you do a google search fopr reviews?Last edited by negolien; 12-15-2010, 6:05 AM."Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

I haven't done the search but the Lumaforce lights themselves seem pretty good. I saw them at a gun show in AZ and thoughts the lights were pretty good for the money. They use Cree LEDs which are excellent. I wouldn't go to Afghanistan with one but like you said, for a HD gun it ought to work okay. I might just bite the bullet and get one and shoot with it mounted to see how the bulb holds up. If nothing else, another flashlight for the car or kitchen drawer is not a bad thing.Someone got one a while back on sale I think for same price. I just browsed through a post on a different website about the light mentioned inthe first post. It broke in the first shot. Apparently the cap switch isn't made that well.
The Cree led light mentioned seems okay for the money I'd suppose. A buddy has one on his AR plinker and it's been over a year and still works. Once every so often you have to press the button an extra time to shut it off. For HD you should really pony up the extra money and go with a tlr-1 and mount. Even used they are great. Hope this helps you any.

LOL ya figures.. That's about what I would expect for $30 thanks. Not sure why I couldn't find it with search. Not gonna spend 100 bucks on something that sits in my closet forever though so lol guess I won't get a light. Not that I need one anyways though. I don't expect to be clearing any dark strange rooms in the near future ROFL..."Men sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

they can temporarily blind an attacker, giving you life saving moments (either their or your life depending on the situation)
they help possitively identify a threat should something go bump in the night (drunk wondered into the wrong house, maybe someone was assaulted and is looking for a safe place to hide and you were the closest)
I always laugh when I hear people talk about "clearing houses" because it takes two people (at least) to safely clear a house, unless you want to put your wife/kids in danger by making them help out, stay in your room/safe area and call 911you don't rise to the occasion,

I have a similar set up I bought from an online store. I bought the Light, Mount Pressure switch tailcap, 2 sets of rechargable batteries, charger, long throw lens and smooth reflector all for around 50.00 with free shipping
Its a Cree light and stated at 200 lumens and about an hour of runtime.
I have had it mounted for about 4 mo now with around 150-200 shells through the gun with it on there, Even ran a couple dozen magnum 3" shells as well.
