    11-87 20 ga won't eject shell

I been shooting trap and sporting clays with the 11-87 20 ga for last two years. Last night was first time it wouldn't eject the shells. I shot two boxes and had to manually eject each one. We usually go though four boxes. I was using the remington sport loads 2 3/4, 2 1/2 dram eq, 7/8 shot. I've used in the past with no problems. she gets cleaned and lubed after every use.

Any help trouble shooting the problem would be appreciated.

Clean and lubed? Time to replace the piston seals?

Piston seal or dirty gas holes. We had a bunch of shotguns at the trap range I worked at go down with both those issues.

Yep, and wipe down the mag tube with lube and shoot it wet.

Does it try to eject but without enough energy to get the job done or does the bolt not move?

The gas ports need to be cleaned out with a small drill bit to remove the build up of carbon.
