Ordering shotgun barrel online

I live in Riverside county, CA and was wondering if anyone knew the laws for ordering a Shotgun barrel online?
I know that ordering a gun online has to go through a licensed dealer(order gun, it goes to local gunshop and they do the rest). What I am wondering is; can I order a barrel online and have them ship it to my house? Or will it still need to go through a shop?
