Not much talk about them around these parts. Does anybody have a favorite? I own two, a Stoeger Silverado and one of the Norinco's from Big 5. Nice sturdy guns, compact, etc.

Coach Guns Anyone?
Outlaw Josey Wales

I've got some old ones that are chopped up and a few that are still full length, I've seen the norinco's and I actually want to get one to play with, they look like a good design and rather well made for what they are.Comment

Coach Guns
Does anyone know of a coach gun with internal hammers.?
I'd like to get something that is short as allowable by law..
I plan on using it for when I travel.
Any direction to one of the companies that make a coach with internal hammers, compact as all heck..in 12ga. with either ejectors or extractors..
Thanks

I'd reccommend if you're going short with a double to get external hammers if you plan on traveling with it.
There is no way to store the gun loaded without having the very real possibility of it going off when the safety slipps or the gun is dropped.
a hammerless double shorty is in my opinion a fun range toy (I've got a few)
that being said, the N.R. Davis and sons design works exceptionally well for cutting down as do most others which do not have a stock bolt but instead are fastened by the tang.Comment

where do you even find blackpowder SXS's? I've been wanting to get one to turn into a SBS (percussion weapons are not subject to NFA) for a while.. It'd be fun and build character.Comment

Both Stoeger and IGA offer coach guns with internal hammers(no hammers?). I don't know who would carry them in the bay area. For those of you looking for a coach gun with actual working hammers, check out the TTN reproduction of the 1878 Colt. I had a chance to eye one recently and was pleased enough to leave a deposit.Does anyone know of a coach gun with internal hammers.?

Here's my Stoeger Uplander S/S

I love it. But it kicks like a mule... LOL
It's awesome to use for Trap Shooting
My Brother gave it to me, because he said he was horrible with it...LOL
He bought it in Tennessee for around $700 I think....
It has extractors not ejectors and is hammerless. The only thing that took me a little bit to get used to is whenever you break it open to remove the empty shells, the Saftey engages.
It made trap shoot'n a little harder my first time...
I'd load her up, close her, and then say pull. The clay would shoot out and I couldn't fire... Dang forgot the saftey again...
But don't worry I remember each time now...LOL.

the revolver is a nine shot cylinder that works just like any old revolver, in the middle is the shotgun barrel (it deosnt rotate) there is a seperate nipple for the shotgun and the hammer rotates down, but I usally have problems trying to rotate it and have had both barrels go off at the same time before.
its kid of hard to explain you almost have to see it07 FFL Woodland, CA
