Bought an 870 super Magnum special purpose a few weeks ago.
I really enjoy the 25" barrel that is on it over the 28" barrel my express has. swings much faster, and I'm hitting birds in the head rather then missing behind them.
Gun came with a real soft red plastic magazine follower, which wedged itself in the magazine tube turning the gun into a single shot. (and we had weather this Saturday!)
Gun also likes to double feed.
when emptying the gun first shell comes out fine, second shell feeds, I move the slide forward, and the 3.5" shell comes out of the magazine tube. This stops the lifter from coming back down, and jams the gun until I can work the 3rd shell out of the magazine tube.
It doesn't do this when I'm shooting only unloading.
I bought a Wilson follower and spring, hoping it will cure this.
Otherwise It's been a great gun, and I've taken a few birds this year that I normally wouldn't have.
