Mossberg 930 spx "canted" barrel solution???

Finally! I found a 930 spx and im doing the paper work for it Friday! The seller put noted that the barrel has the infamous Mossberg "cant" on the front sight. Has anyone had this on theirs? how do I go about fixing it the best way? Ive read one article that some guy had to call Mossberg a dozen times and took 10 weeks for him to get the new barrel. Is there any other way that is less painless? thanks in advance!

✟ In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."✟

When I was considering buying a SPX I read about the cant problem and a recurring suggestion was to call Mossberg Customer Service and speak to one particular rep named Jesse Gutierrez (unsure if that's the correct name or spelling as the last name was like Gutierrez but spelled differently). This rep seemed to get things done quickly and most seemed satisfied once he got involved.

    Good luck!

What Heiko said, you let Mossberg know you got a bad iteration of the SPX barel and I think the process is you ship the barrel to them and then they throw a new one back at you. You shouldn't have to do this in the first place, but not much else you can do.

Let us know how it goes.

I'm pretty sure it will go smoothly due to most of those barrels have been repaired/replace already.
Did you get the shotgun gun for a good price?

          Where'd you order yours at?

Good for you. I love my SPX. Never a single glitch after 600 rounds. My barrel isn't canted, but I think I got the revised gun. It has a round and knurled charging handle. Is that the one your getting?
