I put one on my 870 just to be able to get a shorter LOP for around the house. It works well and is very solid. Watch out if you're running it short and using loads with alot of recoil that you don't take a cheek weld like you do with your AR... It's got a bit of a slope up front and will slap the crappola out of you under the right (wrong?) conditions! Keep your face back a hair with heavy loads and you'll be fine, it will remind you of it if you forget.

The darn thing hit me a few times while using slugs. I just need to take it out more and get used to it. Other than that I luv it. Now I need to get a side saddle.

I've had a Knoxx stock (recoil absorbing verions) on my Mossberg for about 5 years now and I love that thing!
I've taken 2 Tactical Shotgun classes each of which I put about 1,000 rounds down range each time. No bruising, no soreness. I think that sums it up!

Have one on my Moss 590A1 and love it. It really reduces felt recoil.

I have one on a short Rem 870 and even with slugs, it is quite tame. I can say that not only does it do wonders for recoil control, but it allows for a handy little package with the collapsible stock feature. It really does deserve an A+!

A friend of mine has the SpecOps on his Remington and it feels good, even with slugs. Another friend of mine had the breachers grip (which is basically a SpecOps without the buffer tube) on his Mossberg 500. They both do a good job reducing recoil. +1 on both. I'm more into the traditional look, so I stick with wood furniture (my shoulder hates me for it).

When used correctly this stock works. Go to www.aiptactical.com and click on the red link "Breaking in the 870" read on how to shoot the SpecOps. Do these thing and you get the max benifit of the stock.

Love mine too. It's on my Mossberg 500. I don't have the recoil reducing version and I am still extremely happy with it. It soaks up recoil very well. Very easy to install. The adjustable LOP isn't as much of a concern if you are single, but if multiple people fire the weapon then it is nice to have. My wife is much smaller than I am and the adjustable LOP and recoil reducing features allow for the both of us to fire it with comfort.
