I have a mossy 500 tactical w/pistol grip and collapsable stock. I purchased a used set of composite regular stock and forearm. Trying to install the forearm I realized the new one seems shorter (the nut does not tighten the forearm down) any ideas? Are the forearms not interchangeable?

No, I don't think that'd work. I have the opposite problem. When the nut is tightened it still doesn't reach the forearm grip, like the forearm grip is too short."Seems sick and it's hungry, it's tired and it's torn, It looks like it's dyin' and it's hardly been born" Bob Dylan

sounds like you answered your own question! the slide tube assembly was the perfect length for your previous grip, but your new grip is too short for the tube. you could get a shorter slide tube assembly, or just find something to act as a spacer between the nut and the grip to keep it in place.
are you finding some back and forth play in the grip even before cycling the bolt?Saying that guns kill people is like blaming a pencil for spelling mistakes.Comment
