i'm looking into getting an S12, i looked over the flow chart and just wanted to clairify here and make sure i'm not going to violate any AW laws. since the S12 is semi auto and had a mag, it'll have a mag lock, but where i;m getting a bit lost is it has a pistol grip, so its my understanding that the stock must be non adjustable correct?

Fixed stock and PG okay with mag lock already installed as required to DROS in CA.
922r only kicks in when you start using the larger 10rnd mags as opposed to the sporter 5rnd mags it originally came with.Comment

what part of the flowchart is confusing you? If I know what is confusing, I might be able to adjust the wording of it.i'm looking into getting an S12, i looked over the flow chart and just wanted to clairify here and make sure i'm not going to violate any AW laws. since the S12 is semi auto and had a mag, it'll have a mag lock, but where i;m getting a bit lost is it has a pistol grip, so its my understanding that the stock must be non adjustable correct?
I'm not familiar with the stock, but if that stock is considered a "folding or telescoping stock" and it has a PG, then yes, it would be illegal to have that combination on a semi-auto shotgun.
The flowcharts do not deal with roster or 922(r) issues. The flowcharts deal with the legality of the firearm as it sits there in front of you at the present time.Jack
Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

it wasn't confusing, i just needed to double check, its not so much the chart as me wanted to check my understanding of it, the last thing i need to do is get busted for an illegally configured gun. turns out that the stock that i thought was collapsable wasn't so it's good to go. i have 5 round mags but i'm thinking i'm going to get some 10 rounders so i made sure the gun was 922r compliant, which i'm thinking it is since the stock and mags are USA made and the total imported part count is under 10.Last edited by Sam .223; 11-12-2010, 8:39 PM.5.56: reach out and touch someone.

As long as it's pinned, you can run any stock. If a collapsable stock is pinned, it's no longer collapsable, is it?
