Thanks you all for the responses, I'm really confused about the 922r thing, I bought this gun new about 10 years ago and have done nothing to it until now. Whats the deal?

basically on an M4 you must add remove 3 foriegn made parts and replace them with USA made parts.

a full length tube (extension wont count)
a follower
and a forearm will do it.

IIRC, you right, but the reason the extension won't count is because you have a limit of 10 foreign parts and the extension doesn't remove the magazine body to lower the parts count.

Read the link I posted it isn't long or very complicated.

Basically, you can't import a non sporting long gun, and you can't make one out of imported parts. If you keep the number of imported parts to 10 or less then the long gun as a whole is no longer considered imported. The link goes into detail as to which parts are counted and what constitutes a non-sporting configuration, but more than 5 shell capacity on a shotgun is one of the characteristics.

Oh, and if memory serves, this is one of the NRA's "compromises" so you can thank them for it.

What barrel length are you running? If it is 18.5" how far does the Nordic tube extend past the muzzle?

Nordic sells a bunch of different lengths. I'm thinking about maybe adding a +1 end cap to my extension.

basically on an M4 you must re[place 3 parts listed my the feds and replace them with 3 USA made parts suc as listed above. It is an law that restricts imported shotguns to sporting purposes. if you want to increace the capacity you have to add the USA part which makes it less evil and less imported.

I use the Benelli stock +2 extension. I did have the Dave's metal works one and it was a high quality product as well.
