    Best Ghost ring for 590

My 590 is drilled and tapped but only has a bead right now I was wondering what is the best ghost ring kit for it that will require no gunsmithing and wont fall out.

    thank you for your help

If you are not a DIY type then to have a proper GRS set you will have to have a gunsmith install the front sight. Mossbergs GRS are very nice.

Know any good Gun Smith? I'm running into the same problem. Blackhawk stock with cheek rest makes me shoot way higher...

I ran into this very same issue, without the cheek rest. Sold the Blackhawk/Knoxx and bought a Hogue 12" LOP and NEVER looked back.

            Remove the higher cheek rest.

Shooters purchase the Knoxx Spec Ops Stock and always use the "taller cheek piece" cuz it looks "tacti-cool". Remove the higher cheek rest!

That high cheek rest was made to use in conjunction with optics.

As for a great ghost ring set-up...try LPA. (Best in the market).

But if you do not know how to install it, get it done professionally. (Click on the tutorial below my signature - INSTALLING SIGHTS ONTO A REMMY 870P).

If this is a home defense weapon, or a competition weapon...why settle for "cheap"? If your life is going to depend on it, use reliable sights!!

May 4, 2026 Update: Aimpro Tactical has suspended our Custom Shop, Gunsmithing and Firearms sales activities and our Training activities.

is Mossberg's custom shop and they'll install ghost ring sights for you.

It's 70 bucks for the work (they solder the front sight on then refinish the barrel), about 70 bucks for the sights, and plus shipping both ways. If you're dead set on GR sights it might be better to just sell the gun you have and buy a new one that comes with them, especially if you have a 500 or 590 and can upgrade to a 590A1.

Do not mess with any sights that are epoxied on, they'll pop off at the most inopportune moment. Anything decent will require gunsmithing.

I've been trying to find a shop that carries these in stock all over the country for the past year and come up empty everytime! Does anyone know a place that currently stocks these sights? Thanks in advance!

These LPA sights are manufactured in Italy.

From my understanding, they are the sights that Benellis come equipped with.

They are seriously hard to find (and expensive), and are usually on backorder everywhere.

I lucked-out and found a brand new set (still in it's bag) from a fellow Calgunner for dirt cheap.

Look around, keep your ear to the ground, and best wishes.
