ANY FN SLP TRIGGER MODS?

Hey shooters,

I recently purchased an FN SLP Mark-1 for 3-gunning purposes.

The shotgun is awsome, but the trigger pull is heavier than I would like.

Are there any aftermarket triggers out there for the FN SLP...or even mods that yall have heard of?

Links would be preferred.

I have already tried Brian Enos and Shotgun World...but no response in a few days. (I'm totally surprised)!

They do a lot of custom shotgun work. I was going to send a Benelli trigger group to do some work on it but instead I just bought a Salient Benelli with all the stuff already done. It should cost you about 40-50 dollars plus shipping. You will probably want them to weld up the lifter so it is not a pitch fork also.

Been reading quite a few posts on this lifter modification, and some shooters just cut off the tips (shorten it), and leave it at that.

I was talking to a pardner of mine, and he said that some folks will weld the end of the lifter arm shut, and will also add a smidgen of metal at the top (end) part of the lifter arm. This prevents the lifter arm from going all the way up, which prevents the shotshell from catching on the top entry part of the chamber, and not feeding into the chamber.

The latter has happened to me a few times, and it was remedied by lowering the shotshell around 1/8" inch to allow feeding into the chamber.

I was thinking of beveling the top part of the chamber entrance...bt I will read a bit more on this topic, and make a reasoned decision soon.
