    scope mount for my shotgun?

I got a older Beretta 1201FP shotgun and want to put a dot scope on it. I dont want to drill and tap the reciever or make any alterations that cant be returned to factory condition. I saw in a magazine like cheaper than dirt or sportmans guide selling a scope mount that goes between the stock and the reciever but for the life of me I cant locate the ad anymore.

Does anybody have any idea on who makes that mount or where I can order it from. I searched google and came up empty.

These are for Remingtons but you probably need something like what's at the bottom of this page: http://www.mesatactical.com/index.php?id=59

However, I think it may be difficult to find such aftermarket parts for your Beretta shotgun. I'm just throwing this out there to show you these type of things exist.
So um... moon labia or something.

You might be thinking of the Burris FastFire. Not sure if it's still made for your model, but it might be worth a phone call to the factory.

It looks very simular to this but I already have a red dot so all I need is the mount part.

          Intended use?

Are you looking to do some hunting or is this for plinking? Anything that will attach non-permanently is going to move a bit under a shotgun's recoil. If you're looking to shoot slugs, I recommend a rifled barrel with a cantilever scope mount. The scope mount is welded to the barrel, so it won't move. Your scope then attaches to the barrel, so when you remove the barrel, your scope will still properly aligned. All of the cantilever setups I've seen feature a weaver style base, and I don't know much about red dots, so I don't know if your red dot would attach to that. Also, if you go the rifled barrel route, you'll be shooting sabot slugs which are much much more expensive than traditional slugs, but they are also very accurate. I've shot two inch groups at 100 yds with my 870.

Just a heads up with the Beretta 1201. Being that it is a recoil operated shotgun, adding extra parts and accesories may change the balance of the gun and have an adverse affect of the guns reliability and operation. I don't have a Beretta, but I looked into getting one after shooting a buddies and this was the one negative review I found from several sources. Adding things such as lights, shell holders, and optics caused problems.

I think your best bet would be with a Burris fastfire mounted directly to the reciever. Anything else will most likely add to much weight and cause you problems.

It's for plinking and home defense use. I wouldn't be able to get a extra barrel with cantilever mount cuz to find a extra barrel for the Beretta is next to impossible.
I am also aware of adding extra parts that will affect the function but since I already installed a surefire light and side saddle it wont function with light loads, I have to use high brass 3" magnum loads (ouch!!) to function reliable, but even with the light and side saddle removed it still wont function with bird loads.
I search over 4 hours thru all my magazines and also online but cant find the item anymore, perhaps its discontinued.
Can any Benelli M1S90 owners chime in on what they use for a optics mount since the two shotguns are very simular.

I was checking on this issue. Do you have a straight stock or a pistol grip? The Speed Bead is made for a straight stock and according this link, the Poster had to modify it fit a pistol grip stock.

Without drilling and tapping the receiver, you'd be hard pressed to find a picatinny rail to fit the 1201FP because the receiver's shape is slightly unconventional, like a Franchi.

I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.
